i'm sorry i missed class i thought this week was spring break. I wouldn't of made it either way because i've been super sick. I have been reading though.

Dr. Cooper mentioned Alienation and Loneliness as a theme, I'm not much of a reader and haven't read any of the three books that fall in this catagory but I am interested in both Fahrenheit 451 and Slaughterhouse-Five. I believe Ruth wanted to read The Catcher in the Rye so that could work out. Whatever you ladies would like. =)

Kathy, that's a great list. I like the theme of Alienation and Loneliness. There were three books that fell under that. You could each choose one - or not. Just a suggestion.

Mod II Themes and Banned.xls I have researched themes and why banned on the 9 books listed and I have to say I thought it was painful. I wasn't successful in finding a common theme amongst the books but some of the reasons banned were very common. I havfe attached a spreadsheet showing my research
